POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Lewis&Harris Foundation (the governing agency of COERT) and COERT (Central Oklahoma Emergency Response Teams) reserves the right to change any policy of COERT with or without prior notice to any or all agencies and members.

Lewis&Harris Foundation and COERT will together create, promote and establish a National Emergency Response Team without restrict of either said Corporations and within restriction of all federal laws to assist the United States in times a natural disasters within our borders.

COERT will comply will all Lewis&Harris Foundation policies and procedures without question, prejudice or discrimination.

COERT will comply with all city, county, state, and federal laws at all times without question, prejudice or discrimination.

COERT will properly identify severe weather damaged areas and assist all civilians within the consistency of there own safety.

 

COERT members will occupy CPR/First Aid certificates within compliance with Lewis&Harris Foundation policies and be available for advanced training.

COERT will take command of severe weather damaged areas until city, county, state or federal governing agencies arrive at scene.

COERT will at no time use Emergency Lights while in motion unless otherwise directed by SR. Command. COERT may use Emergency Lights within 100ft. of Emergency scene for safety ONLY.

 

 

 

COERT will at all times have Emergency Lights activated while on a scene of an Emergency situation. While on an Emergency situation, employees/volunteers will present themselves in a professional manner during any and/or all activities involving COERT.

COERT employees/volunteers will at all time show COERT IDs and badges to all civilian and/or city, county, state and/or federal governing agencies without question, prejudice or discrimination. Each member will have picture IDs and badges.

COERT will at NO TIME carry any firearms on themselves and/or within their vehicles during COERT activities. NO employee/volunteer will present themselves as a city, county, state and/or federal governing agency personal.

COERT will present themselves in the following manner. "Hi, I am ___________________ with Central Oklahoma Emergency Response Teams, how can we help?"

COERT employees/volunteers will assume command at an Emergency scene to assist the injured until city, county, state and/or federal governing agencies arrive at scene. At such time, the employee/volunteer will explain situation of scene then hand over all command and take further orders as given.

COERT members is given a direct order to vacate scene by Sr. Command, city, county, state and/or federal governing agencies, the employee/volunteer will then vacate scene and NOT return. COERT will use extreme caution at all times and conduct themselves in a safe manner.

COERT will only use Emergency Lights approved by Sr. Command ONLY. NO decals of COERT will be use without the approval of Sr. Command.

COERT members will have an approved uniform code, black or dark blue BDU pants will be worn. Black or dark blue tie shirts with COERT insignia. Steel toed black foot apparel will be worn.

COERT members will accept all verbal/written commands by SAR Commander and/or Lewis&Harris Foundation without question, prejudices or discrimination.

 

 

 

 

 

COERT in accordance of Lewis&Harris Foundation policies will create, develop, maintain and monitor programs with strict attention to social sciences and research for the prevention of national and international terrorism while reporting process and (progress) of terrorism to local, county, state and federal governments. COERT in accordance of Lewis&Harris Foundation policies will assist our government of the United States in solving these issues directly and effectively. COERT in accordance of Lewis&Harris Foundation policies does not and will not promote any and/or all criminal activity of any kind within terrorism.(Program overviews available upon request).

 

 

COERT will consist of two teams. Both Teams will consist first

Responders.

1.. 1) CSAR (Command Search and Rescue)

2) Information Posts

2.. 1)Storm Chaser/Spotters

2) Dispatcher/Radar Operator

 

PUBLIC RELATIONS will ONLY be handled by COERT Sr. Command and/or Lewis&Harris Foundation.

COERT Sr. Command and Lewis&Harris Foundation strictly enforces these policies with zero tolerance. Any employee/volunteer found in violation of any written policy, will be suspended and/or terminated.

COERT employees/volunteers responding to any emergency scene without approval of Sr. Command is acting under their own recognance and will not act in accordance of COERT. COERT will not be held liable for these personal.

COERT employees will participate in activities in addition to counseling, including attending meetings, and shall maintain the standards for conduct and counseling agreed to by the volunteer.

COERT employees will be responsible for staying current with continuing changes in successful business practices and relevant technical development.

 

 

 

 

COERT employees will not discriminate in any of their COERT related activities against any persons because of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, marital status, handicap or sexual preference.

COERT employees will not make public statement that appear to associate COERT with personal opinion of the volunteer or which are critical of COERT, sponsors or subsidiaries.

COERT employees will not make statements that appear to identify COERT with a political party or a candidate for federal, state county or local office.

COERT employees will at all time during there performance of their services, conduct themselves in such a manner as not to discredit themselves or COERT.

COERT employees shall not accept fees, commission, kickbacks or things of value from any party.

COERT will assist any and all city, county, state and federal agencies when requested.

 

 

 

 

Dress Code:

1.0 Men will be clean shaven. Mustache will not go past the corner of the mouth and must be kept well trimmed.

1.1 No jewelry with the exception of a wedding band due to safety reasons. Necklaces, wallet chains and boot chains will not be acceptable. No facial piercing of any kind. Earrings on females can and will be acceptable, studs only.

1.2 Professionalism will be conducted at all times. Hair will be no longer than the middle of the neck.

1.3 Vehicles will be equipped with fire extinguishers (ABC). Emergency first aid kits, city and state maps, manufacturer working head lights, tail lights, emergency flashers, and designated light bars. Trucks will be white color, designated insignia and firm name.
